Tis’ the season to be Glory.
It’s Christmas. It’s that time of the year we feel obligated to give gifts to the people we love (or maybe forced to love?). Kidding aside, it’s a special holiday we all enjoy.
While I was on my way to the mall with my sister, this conversation occurred between my sister & I:
I braggingly said, “since we’ll be celebrating Christmas on the 24th, I’m actually gonna help out at the soup kitchen on Christmas day.”
My sister: “That’s good. My youth group goes to the VA every month and you know what they said? They get the most volunteers during Christmas but for the other 364 days, they barely get any visitors at all. It’s quite sad.”
We brag about the good deeds we do. I started wondering if I was doing it out of my yearning to serve God or for selfish reasons.
